The University of Wisconsin\u2013Madison received a strong leadership ranking from Time magazine based on how frequently it was mentioned in the r\u00e9sum\u00e9s of influential leaders.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The university ranks sixth nationally among publics in producing influential figures, according to an analysis by Time magazine.<\/h2>\n

The University of Wisconsin\u2013Madison was ranked 22nd overall\u00a0<\/sup>and 6th among publics in\u00a0Time magazine\u2019s 2026\u202fBest Colleges for Future Leaders\u00a0report.<\/p>\n

To create the rankings,\u202fTime partnered with\u00a0Statista\u00a0to\u00a0analyze a sample of\u202f4,800\u00a0of the most influential figures shaping U.S. society today \u2014 from policymakers and corporate executives to leading scientists,\u00a0educators\u00a0and cultural innovators.<\/p>\n

The frequency of each university and company mentioned in the r\u00e9sum\u00e9s\u00a0of these leaders was aggregated and integrated into a Leadership Index of 125 universities to\u00a0identify\u00a0the most attended institutions.<\/p>\n

Listed as a \u201crelevant subsidiary\u201d for UW\u2013Madison was the Wisconsin School of Business (WSB), meaning\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a high-impact program within the university\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0particularly strong in shaping influential leaders.<\/p>\n

UW graduates are\u00a0leaders in fields<\/a>\u00a0ranging from business to law to medicine to arts.<\/p>\n

Recent rankings from various sources have praised UW\u2013Madison\u00a0for overall educational quality, career preparation and value<\/a>.<\/p>\n
